Directions

Dry Bokashi:
Work into topsoil, mix into potting soils, or spread under organic mulch for best results. Store in a dry place, out of direct sunlight. Ideally at 70 degrees.

How to Make Bokashi Tea:
Put the required amount of Dry Bokashi in a porous bag and place into a five-gallon bucket of clean dechlorinated water.  Mix in water-soluble fertilizers, compost, and adjuncts; aerate the mixture for up to 24 hours.  Makes a concentrate which will be further diluted into a larger watering tank.  Repeat every two weeks for best results.  Kitchen Composting Directions:
•Layer a portion of Dry Bokashi on the bottom of a five-gallon bucket and add food scraps into the bucket throughout the day.
•At the end of the day, add a generous amount of Dry Bokashi to cover kitchen scraps. To ensure anaerobic conditions and facilitate composting, compress Bokashi layered compost down firmly. If used correctly, Bokashi will eliminate all foul odors from compost!  If the compost bucket smell persists, add more Dry Bokashi.
•Once the bucket is filled, allow Bokashi and food scraps to ferment in the bucket for 2 weeks before adding to your compost or digging into the soil. The Bokashi addition will speed up the composting process. On occasion, a white “fungus” will appear. This is not mold! This is a sign of a healthy ferment created by beneficial microbes in the Bokashi.
